Both Cat and I have had varied and interesting lives and wide-ranging careers. At times flirting with acting, music, buying and selling antiques – not to mention completing a number of successful house renovations in Britain. Our experiences have now led us in a new direction and life in France was something that we both really wanted to try. The pace of life and the history and beauty of the countryside had seduced us and we felt that our temperaments, skills and experience would be well suited to the business of gite ownership. After finishing La Reverie, Cat is involving herself in cake making and face painting – whilst I hope that at some point in the next five years I may actually finish one of the three books I am currently writing and become an internationally acclaimed author! (However, Cat isn’t holding her breath …)

Cat and I stumbled across La Reverie, a traditional Norman Longere (long house), in 2004 after spending 3 months towing a caravan around France searching for a new life and nurturing a desire to create a fabulous vacation property.

After seeing literally hundreds of houses, we knew straight away that La Reverie was The One! Charming and quaint, but with a certain stately quality, the house seduced us in an instant. For those who wanted our kind of holiday and who could appreciate the very best we would be prepared to work very hard. And we have! Everything that Cat and I look for in a holiday home has been included.

2007 will be our second season, but Cat and I intend to make every effort to continue to provide a level of service that will delight over every season that La Reverie is offered to the vacation market. Nothing will be too much trouble and your enjoyment and satisfaction will be our marker. For those of you with children who might wish to enjoy an evening alone at one of our excellent local restaurants, Cat is delighted to offer a baby/child sitting service.
